The Burrell College Alumni Association, sponsored by the Coalition for Osteopathic Excellence, is launching a unique financial incentive opportunity for graduates of COCA-accredited (Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation) osteopathic medical schools. This financial incentive would provide physicians who are nearing the end of the residency training a grant in the amount of $75,000 for a commitment to practice within 60 miles of Artesia, New Mexico.
This financial aid opportunity is made possible through a collaboration with the PY Foundation, a longstanding partner of the Coalition for Osteopathic Excellence. PY Foundation has continuously supported the students of the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine through pledge-based scholarships. They are expanding their support to include graduated physicians of eligible osteopathic medical schools.
For Burrell College graduates to be considered, they must be a member of the Burrell College Alumni Association. The Burrell College Alumni Association (BCAA) exists to strengthen and support the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine by promoting life-long relationships between alumni, current students, faculty, staff, and executive leadership. Applicants from other eligible osteopathic medical schools are not required to be members of the Burrell College Alumni Association in order to be considered for this grant.
Membership in the alumni association is free to all Burrell College graduates, and we encourage all our graduates and impending graduates to join.
